TITLE : Copier Operator

POSTION TYPE : SPEC

HIRING SPECIFICATIONS :

Required :

  • Valid Drivers License
  • High School Diploma HiSET or GED
  • Effective communications skill both oral and in writing
  • Proficiency using a computer / technology
  • Ability to train personnel effectively
  • Competency working in a culturally diverse environment or willingness to acquire these skills

Desired :

  • Previous work in printing and duplicating services

    • BASIC FUNCTION :

    The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the printing services department. This position requires continuous use of independent judgment.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Operate black / white and color copier.
  • Plan and implement graphic designs and layout.
  • Assist in all bindery operations as assigned.
  • Clean and adjust all equipment in copy center.
  • Order supplies for copy center.
  • Perform all customer service jobs.
  • Print confidential materials.
  • Cost out copy jobs and assist in billing daily and monthly.
  • Print various stock and cut to size.
  • Assist in annual inventory.
  • Assist with delivery of print jobs as needed.

    • ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (for every DMPS position) :

  • Attend work on a prompt and regular basis.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain satisfactory and harmonious working relationships with the public students and other employees.
  • Assist with other duties as may be assigned.

    REPORTS TO : Printing Supervisor

    RECEIVES GUIDANCE FROM : Printing Supervisor

    FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt

    FT / PT : Full Time

    DAYS : 260 HOURS : 8

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Constant standing and walking. Frequent sitting bending / stooping reaching / pushing / pulling driving lifting 50lbs carrying 50lbs. Occasional climbing stairs. Manueal Dexterity Tasks : Computer and phone.

    WORKING CONDITIONS : Frequent inside outside and extremes of temperature / humidity
