Chief Engineer - Embassy Suites Phoenix Biltmore

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Biltmore is seeking a talented Chief Engineer to lead our Engineering team and oversee the functionality, safety, and overall integrity of our hotel. In this pivotal leadership role, you'll work hands-on alongside a dedicated team to ensure the property operates seamlesslymaintaining systems, enhancing safety standards, and supporting the overall guest experience. Your expertise will help ensure our guests and team members enjoy a comfortable and secure environment every day.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the functionality and safety of the facility, including physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems, and grounds.
- Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Assign, verify, and document completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system.
- Direct, oversee, and maintain required documentation for energy management and conservation and preventive maintenance programs.
- Lead, manage, and communicate information about capital projects and property rehabilitations, including scheduling, budgeting, and contractor compliance.
- Obtain required licenses and permits to ensure full compliance with codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Direct daily department operations, including guest service standards, product quality, inventory management, cost controls, and budgeting.
- Monitor and develop team member performance, providing supervision, professional development, and recognition.
- Leader and self-starter, with the ability to recruit, interview, and train, mentor and motivate team members.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience with boilers, chillers, two-pipe heating systems.
- Ability to execute a maintenance plan across guest rooms, ensuring that the team has access to appropriate equipment and supplies.
Requirements
Proven experience in property operations or engineering management within the hospitality industry a must.Open availability.Strong knowledge of facility management, safety regulations, and maintenance practices.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Ability to manage budgets and financial forecasts effectively.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Nice-to-Haves
