About the Role

The Company is in search of a Head of AML Governance and Issues Management to join its expanding U.S. compliance team. This pivotal role is focused on the design, implementation, and oversight of AML governance processes on a global scale, with a specific emphasis on aligning with regulatory expectations in the U.S. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining AML governance and issue management frameworks, developing processes for AML issue tracking and remediation, and ensuring that AML systems and monitoring tools meet the necessary standards. Collaboration with engineering, product, and business teams is essential, as is the ability to act as a subject matter expert on U.S. AML regulatory requirements while integrating global best practices. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in AML, BSA / Financial Crimes, or Compliance within the payments industry, and a strong background in governance, issue management, and regulatory remediation. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to influence stakeholders across different functions and geographies, and a proven track record of working in multinational organizations. The Head of AML Governance and Issues Management will initially operate as an individual contributor, with the potential to build and lead a team as the U.S. business expands. The position demands a candidate who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of driving continuous improvement in AML governance processes to meet both U.S. and global regulatory requirements.
