Provide general support to the agency in its projects funded under the CDC Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG),
specifically under Strategy A3 : Data Modernization. Projects include :
- Cataloging and organization of agency data resources with the ultimate goal of creating a public facing agency-wide
data catalog,
Assisting with the selection and implementation of an updated process for managing external requests for data andpublic records
Supporting the creation and implementation of project timelinesConsistent and effective communication with agency staff supporting the projects, and maintaining focus on projectgoals and meeting deadlines
Assist with the collecting, organizing and leveraging large amounts of data across multiple subject matters to enablemore accessible utilization and analysis of the data using data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, catalogs, etc.
Skills :
Experience participating in all day-to-day aspects (planning, organizing, budgeting, etc.) of multi-faceted data
management and / or modernization projects
Assisting with the collection, cataloging and leveraging of large amounts of data across multiple subject matters toenable more accessible utilization and analysis of that data using data lakes, warehouses, catalogs, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers involved in the collection, management and development of agencydata resources in order to advance the agency's data modernization goals
Experience working under data and IT security national standards applicable to the management and security ofprotected health information
Working knowledge of data management, visualization and analysis tools used to organize, leverage and sharemultiple forms of data
Experience working with multiple types of vendors of modern data management and analysis software, systems, andapplications
Preferred :
Governmental data modernization or project management experience
