Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative (CSR) with a proven background in the logistics or transportation industry to join our Operations team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers, drivers, dispatchers, and internal departments, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service delivery.
The ideal candidate will excel in fast-paced environments, possess outstanding communication and organizational skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts, delivering timely and effective communication.
- Accurately enter, update, and close load details in internal systems.
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments, aligning customer needs with carrier availability.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Proactively communicate updates, potential delays, and service issues to customers and internal teams.
- Support freight solicitation efforts through outbound calls and email outreach.
- Address routine customer inquiries and escalate complex issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records, customer scorecards, and performance reports.
- Collaborate with dispatch, driver management, sales, and planning teams to enhance service outcomes.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to improve operational processes and customer experience.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
Prior experience in the logistics or transportation industry (Required).Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Basic data entry and documentation management skills.Familiarity with load entry and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus.Preferred Soft Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Effective organizational and time management abilities.Professional demeanor with composure under pressure.Team-oriented with a strong customer-first approach.Adaptable and flexible to shifting priorities.Additional Requirements
