Title : Payment Solutions Architect

Locations : 100% Remote

Duration : Full-time

About this role :

Were actively seeking a hands-on Architect with experience designing and integrating merchant-side payment systems. In this role, youll be responsible for building the application from the ground up and leading the development of payment integrations.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead architectural discussions, provide hands-on guidance, and ensure best practices in Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) scalability, security, reliability and performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing systems, reduce technical debt, and modernize legacy components in the payments space.
  • Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, including solution definitions, system design diagrams and data flow models.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in software architecture, with a strong focus on payment systems.
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in high-volume, regulated environments.
  • Ideally, some exposure to Fintech eco-systems, concepts such as wallets and cryptocurrencies.
  • Deep understanding of payment services, standards, protocols and industry best practices (PCI compliance, tokenization and secure transaction flows).
  • Thorough knowledge of payment, risk management and fraud prevention processes and services and reporting systems related to this domain.

    • Salary and Other Compensation :

    The annual salary for this position is between $200,000-$250,000 annually, plus bonus. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography / market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
