Position Overview

A full-time opportunity is available for a Project Engineer to support commercial construction operations near the Camas and Vancouver, WA area. This role is instrumental in supporting Project Managers with document control, procurement, communication, and coordination across all phases of construction. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing bid packages, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, RFIs, and submittals.

Coordinate and track material deliveries, ensuring timely arrival to meet jobsite requirements.

Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, ASIs, and change orders.

Facilitate submittal procurement and ensure specifications are followed.

Distribute current project documents to subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.

Support Superintendent in expediting and tracking materials and equipment.

Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers regarding schedule dates and relay updates to project team.

Attend project meetings and prepare / distribute meeting minutes.

Participate in scheduling, cost reviews, shop drawing coordination, and project closeout.

Manage project logs for RFIs, submittals, ASIs, addenda, and cost tracking.

Compile and submit final closeout documentation including warranties, as-builts, and operations manuals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Proficiency in Procore, Sage 300 (Timberline), BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.

At least 2 years of experience in commercial construction preferred.

Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.

Professional demeanor with the ability to interact with clients, architects, and engineers.

Strong attention to confidentiality and handling of sensitive information.
