Job Description
Under minimal supervision, inspect product based on the organization's quality assurance procedures and policies. Ensure compliance with customer's requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, engineering change notices, material test reports, written and verbal instruction to inspect parts, subassemblies and assemblies against customer specifications.
- Use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, dial indicators, FARO ARM, etc., for inspection, testing, and evaluation of parts.
- Perform first article, in-process, final and receiving inspection for compliance to drawings / specifications and other customer requirements.
- Document data obtained during all QA activities, consistent with policies and procedures. File measurement / test results according to established procedures.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
- Document and report any work or process not conforming to specified requirements using the non-conformance reporting system and initiate corrective actions when required.
- Investigate and determine root cause of recurring part, process, workmanship and / or supplier issues.
- Implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material.
- Understand ISO 9001 for documentation of procedures, work instructions & forms.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principals and 5S program.
- Guide and provide training to coworkers in measuring, testing parts and tabulating data concerning materials and products.
- Assist QA Manager in developing work instructions, procedures, updating inspection reports, GR&R, job processing, document control and review / inspect / analyze RMAs.
- Conduct calibration on all inspection tools and gauges.
- Perform minor rework of parts.
- Coordinate with warehouse for timely delivery of parts to Inspection Area.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty.Knowledge of manufacturing and foundry processes.Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal direction.Communicate honestly, professionally and respectfully with others and demonstrate effective listening skills.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Strong ambitious, motivated team player, leadership, interpersonal, time management skills. Strong attention to detail and concern of importance.Ability to read blue prints, has working knowledge of GD&T, use calipers, micrometers, height-gage, FARO ARM and other inspection tooling.Excellent mechanical and conceptual skills with knowledge base of the manufacturing industry.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, etc.Employee / applicants who receive offers of employment will be tested for controlled substances as a pre-condition for employment. The sample collection and testing will be for controlled substances. A positive test result for controlled substances will render an applicant disqualified for employment.
Negative and positive results will be reported to CSJB Holdings, Inc. If the results are positive, the controlled substance will be identified. The results will not be released to any other parties without an applicant's written authorization.
