Position : 3rd Grade Teacher

Campus : Freedom Academy (K–8)

Location : Phoenix, AZ

Schedule : Full-Time (2025–2026 School Year)

What You’ll Do

As our 3rd Grade Teacher, you will lead a classroom of learners in a critical developmental stage. You will design and deliver lessons that meet students where they are, while holding high expectations and nurturing a culture of safety, kindness, and curiosity.

You’ll work closely with your grade-level team, principal, and support staff to deliver rigorous instruction, model positive behavior, and build lasting connections with students and families.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Assessment

Deliver high-quality instruction aligned to state standards across core subjects, including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
Use formative and summative assessments to track progress and adjust instruction.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students at varying academic levels.

Classroom Culture

Foster a warm and structured classroom environment rooted in mutual respect and high expectations.

Build strong relationships with students that promote trust, motivation, and engagement.

Implement consistent routines and behavior systems that support learning.

Collaboration & Growth

Partner with families through regular communication, conferences, and updates on student progress.

Participate in schoolwide professional development, PLCs, and data meetings.

Reflect on feedback and commit to ongoing improvement and learning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus.

Valid Arizona teaching certificate (Elementary Education K–8 or equivalent).

Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Prior teaching experience in 3rd–5th grade preferred but not required.
