Unit Overview :
- Be part of our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit caring for a diverse patient population.
- Patient care includes :
- Post-operative craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resections.
- Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.
- Management of hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients.
- High volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow cases.
Your Role :

Conduct patient assessments, implement personalized care plans, and evaluate their effectiveness.Recognize changes in patient conditions and adapt care plans accordingly.Employ strategies to ensure patient safety and optimize learning for patients and families.Coordinate discharge planning with an interdisciplinary approach.Evaluate patient and team outcomes, participating in shared governance activities.Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills within healthcare teams.Identify and report potential safety threats to enhance patient safety.Apply ethical decision-making principles in patient care.Engage in professional development and contribute to the growth of others within the team.Required Qualifications :
Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.CERTIFICATION : Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the AHA.Educational background : Completion of an accredited Nursing program.Experience : Typically 1 year in clinical nursing.Skills and Abilities :
Ability to provide holistic patient care with a focus on family involvement.Skill in recognizing and responding to changes in patient conditions.Proficiency in electronic medical records and computer systems.Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.Physical Requirements :
