Conservation Colorado is seeking a Communications Manager to support the creation of high‑impact communications that move people to action and elevate our mission across the state.

Qualifications
Strong advocacy writing & editing skills with experience creating high‑impact, issue‑based communications (email, social media, news releases, etc.) that move people to take action.
Excellent editing skills; adept at maintaining AP style and ensuring content is culturally appropriate and aligns with the organization’s voice and goals.
Experience managing a junior writer team with a collaborative, accountability‑focused approach.
Demonstrated project management skills in a fast‑paced environment, managing large‑scale, multi‑stakeholder projects with minimal oversight.
Creativity & Innovation; ability to bring fresh perspectives to complex policy issues and develop new content approaches.
Bilingual Spanish / English is a valued skill but not required.
What You’ll Do
Lead and manage a high‑performing team that delivers results in an equitable, collaborative, and transparent environment.
Develop and edit bold, action‑driven content for campaigns and ensure clarity, accessibility and competence.
Track key environmental and political developments to shape timely, resonant messages that mobilize diverse audiences.
Use data to inform strategic decisions and coordinate internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Manage the organization’s online presence, supporting social media, digital and web channels to increase supporter engagement.
Oversee creation and editing of key print and digital marketing materials to maintain brand consistency.
Participate in fundraising activities, election‑related efforts, and equity & inclusivity initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range : $82,000 - $92,000, depending on experience and competencies. Benefits include health insurance, SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with match, at least 30 days of vacation & holidays, 6 physical & mental wellness days in the first year, parental leave, and a sabbatical program. COVID vaccination required. Hybrid model with flexible schedule; some in‑person work necessary.
