About The Position

Position Overview

A leading hospital in coastal New Jersey is seeking a skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist to provide locum coverage while recruiting for a permanent provider. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider interested in high-acuity cardiac work with flexible scheduling options and competitive compensation.

Setting : Hospital-Based | Level II Trauma Center

Start Date : January 2026 – Ongoing (TBD)

Type : Locum or Locum-to-Perm

EMR : Cerner

Schedule & Coverage

Flexible scheduling based on OR needs

8-hour or 12-hour shifts starting at 7 AM

Weekend and night call available but not required

Call ratio TBD

Clinical Responsibilities

You will handle a broad mix of cardiac and advanced surgical anesthesia, including :

General Adult Surgical Cases

IV Regional & Plexus Blocks

Open Heart Anesthesia

Thoracic (Non–Open Heart) & Complex Vascular

Spinal & Regional Anesthesia

Local Infiltration

Ventilation Management

Supervision :

Supervise CRNAs (required)

Submission Requirements

Board Certified in Anesthesiology – REQUIRED

Active NJ Medical License – REQUIRED

ACLS & BLS – REQUIRED

Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia – PREFERRED

Proficiency with :

Open Heart, Thoracic (non-open), Complex Vascular – REQUIRED

TEE, PA Cath, Art Line & Central Line insertions – REQUIRED

CRNA supervision experience – REQUIRED

Cerner experience – PREFERRED
