Key Responsibilities
Assist in interpreting drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervisionPerform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed / installed materials and workAssist in the preparation of work plans and work packagesAssist in field surveying and layout work , including elevations, control points, and compilation of as-built dataOrder and schedule material deliveries to ensure project efficiencyPerform material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and contract documentsPerform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operationsAssist engineers / project managers with data gathering and preparation for submittals and transmittals to customers, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal useAssist in maintaining basic project recordkeeping , including daily reports, photographs, RFIs, and memorandumsEnter data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite managementSupport cost tracking, job costing, and reportingAssist in generating change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the project managerQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field (Engineering or Construction Management)0-2 years of combined experience in heavy / civil projects (internship experience preferred)Strong work ethic – willing to do what it takes to get the job done and do it rightPassion for heavy civil construction and problem-solvingAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsTeam-oriented but able to work independently when neededWillingness to travel regionally for project assignmentsAbility to work for ECI without requiring sponsorship for employment now or in the futureWhat We Offer
