Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Blue Springs, Missouri. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to assist in preparing and filing various tax returns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and familiarity with Drake Tax Software.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare individual, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation tax returns with accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize Drake Tax Software to manage and process tax filings.
• Review financial documents and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information for tax preparation.
• Identify potential tax deductions and credits to optimize client returns.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct thorough audits of tax documentation to maintain accuracy.
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies and provide guidance on financial matters.
• Address and resolve client inquiries related to tax preparation and filing. Requirements - Proven experience in tax preparation for various entities, including individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
• Proficiency in using Drake Tax Software.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data accurately.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• CPA certification or equivalent is a plus.
