Laboratory Assistant

Department :  Diagnostic Laboratory – Referral Processing

Schedule :  Tuesday – Saturday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Lab Assistant to join our team. This position plays a vital role in preparing and coordinating samples for referral testing with our external lab partners. While this role does not involve direct testing of specimens, it is essential to the accuracy and efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, organize, and process biological samples for referral testing
  • Package specimens according to partner lab protocols and shipping standards
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure proper documentation for all outgoing samples
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments to coordinate sample logistics
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in sample handling or documentation
  • Adhere to all safety, compliance, and quality assurance procedures

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor's degree in a science-related field (., Biology, Chemistry, General Science)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in a laboratory or sample handling setting is preferred

    • Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 / hr.
