The Graphic Designer II is responsible for the design and production of various Texas A&M Athletics digital media collateral.

What you need to know

Salary : Will be commensuratebased on the selected hire’s education and experience.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Two years of related experience in graphics design, print and electronic media, marketing, or related design field.

Preferred Experience

Three years graphic design experience in an Athletics Department. Experience in motion graphic production.

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Must have thorough knowledge of latest design / layout software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator).

Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge and expertise in design made for heavy social media consumption.

Knowledge of motion graphic production.

Responsibilities

Graphic Design

Works under the supervision of the Creative Media Manager and in collaboration with 12th Man Productions management and staff to design and produce Texas A&M Athletics social media collateral, including, but not limited to recruiting graphics, print materials, media graphics for display screens, event signage, and other digital needs.

Brand

Along with the Creative Media Manager, helps guide a digital team tasked with producing high-impact visuals that establish a brand of Texas A&M Athletics.

Supervision

Assists in the supervision and tutelage of a student workforce to help execute content.

Trends

Maintains an awareness of social and digital recruiting trends and best practices.

Edition

Performs press checks and approves proofs from printing companies on various printed materials.

Compliance

Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations.

Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all staff members and student workers supervised.

Collaboration

Collaborates with the 12th Man Productions staff, coaches, and administrators to develop a consistent visual image for the athletics department.
