Position Information Position Title Student Assistant for Athletics Game Day Operations(Work Study) Academic Year 2025-2026 UIW Mission University of the Incarnate Word is a Catholic institution that welcomes to its community persons of diverse backgrounds, in the belief that their respectful interaction advances the discovery of truth, mutual understanding, self-realization, and the common good. Position Summary The Game Day Operations Assistant student position responsibilities will include assisting with different areas within the department with various aspects such as game management logistics, marketing and promotions, facility setup and breakdown, to ensure a top-tier game day experience. The Game Day Operations Assistant reports to the Director of Athletics Facilities and Game Day Operations. This position is funded by the Federal Work-Study program and is open to UIW students who are approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study Program. Essential Functions

  • Assist with game day logistics.
  • Assist with the facility setup and breakdown.
  • Assist with in-game marketing and promotions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with people and present a positive image of the University.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Ability to work 20 hour work week
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
  • Required Education Current UIW student approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program. Required Work Experience None. Preferred Qualifications Some previous sales or customer service experience. Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations None. Work Hours

  • Monday – Friday 4 : 30pm – 9 : 00pm. Up to 20 hours per week.
  • Hours will change depending on game times.
  • Some weekends and holidays.
  • Physical Demands

  • Sitting and standing for extended hours.
  • Ability to move about the campus.
