Holy Family School in Lacey is seeking a dedicated teacher to join our close-knit community and inspire our 3rd / 4th grade students to excel academically, grow in faith, andd become compassionate leaders.

Position Overview

As the 3rd / 4th grade teacher, you will be responsible for teaching core subjects, integrating Catholic teachings into the curriculum, and creating a nurturing environment that supports the holistic development of each student.

Basic Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for core subjects including mathematics, language arts, science, religion, and social studies.
  • Incorporate Catholic based values and traditions into classroom activities and discussions.
  • Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, ensuring they meet academic and archdioscian benchmarks.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and respect.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and participation.
  • Participate in school events, religious servces, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Education or a related field.
  • Current Washington State Teaching Certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience teaching at the elementary level, specifically in grades 3 or 4 preferred.
  • Knowledge of and a commitment to Catholic teachings and values.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create lesson plans that align with state and archdioscian academic standards and the school's Catholic mission.
  • Willingness to be an active member of the school community, including participation in faith-based activities.

    • Salary and Benefits

  • The salary range for this position is $35,000 to $41,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, and vision as well as 401k options after one year of employment at Holy Family School.
