Systems Admin / Jr. Cyber Engineer

Leidos has an urgent need for a Systems Admin / Jr. Cyber Engineer to work at 29 Palms military base. This position is onsite and will be a critical role for a large inspection they have coming up. All candidates must have a Security + CE and an active Secret Clearance.

Job Description : We have an immediate need for a Systems Admin to support the Marine Corps in Twenty-nine Palms. It is more important to hit the years of experience and Bachelors degree than a specific skill set in security. This is a great way for a Mid Level Systems admin to move up in his / her career to get more responsibility and take their career to the next level. The candidate will support the US Marines in day to day Systems. Coordinate operational designs, develop support plans, coordinate implementations, and provide second level support for Local Area Network (LAN), Base Area Network (BAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions encompassing heterogeneous platforms. Develop system support requirements by reviewing and analyzing customer business processes and evaluating available Enterprise Services (ES) and supplier capabilities. Support project teams in implementing new or upgraded designs and coordinate project efforts with support groups. Create plans that support implementation of changes. Participate in system support design and performance evaluation reviews. Advise on distributed network computing issues. Monitor and maintain security and integrity standards and controls. Assist in the evaluation, testing and recommendation of hardware, software, and network configurations based on customer need. Coach others in the application of new operational support technologies. Analyze user requirements and statistics to identify trends and resolve performance issues. Coordinate and approve updates of the site administration documentation. Keep abreast of emerging operational support technologies and industry trends. Recommend appropriate price / performance improvement opportunities. Must possess an Operating System (OS) / Application Certification.

Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
