The FDOT Office of Information Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the Strategic Architecture Services team in managing and maintaining Power Platform and SharePoint environments.

This role involves :

Monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Power Platform applications and SharePoint (Online and On-Premises) servers and sites.

Providing support for daily operations , system maintenance , and platform administration .

Managing complex issues that impact Department business processes.

Coordinating activities with Client team members and user communities to support Power Platform development and SharePoint administration.

Offering technical consulting and support to users and FDOT staff.

  • Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Systems , or a related field

Equivalent professional work experience

  • Required Experience
  • Candidates must have proven expertise in :

    SharePoint Online / On-Premises administration (site management, permissions, content).

    Supporting Power Platform applications (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).

    Microsoft ecosystem, including Office , OneDrive, Teams .

    Troubleshooting system / application issues within Power Platform and SharePoint .

    Governance and compliance best practices for Power Platform / SharePoint environments.

    Diagnosing technical issues using strong analytical / problem-solving skills.

    Understanding network concepts and web application troubleshooting.

    Creating and maintaining user guides, technical documentation , and knowledge bases .

    Using IT service management tools such as ServiceNow .

    IIS Administration (preferred).

  • Primary Job Duties and Tasks
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

    Managing and troubleshooting Power Platform and SharePoint environments to ensure availability, security, and performance.

    Consulting with users to define system specifications, including workflow and access requirements.

    Upgrading SharePoint systems by working with vendors and performing installation and testing.

    Providing user support for access, permissions, and general functionality.

    Assisting users with Power Platform solutions like simple apps, automated workflows, and dashboards.

    Performing site audits and usage monitoring for SharePoint.

    Generating usage, issue, and resolution reports for both platforms.

    Collaborating with end users to recommend enhancements for efficiency and usability.

    Maintaining design documents, best practices, troubleshooting, and user guides.

    Conducting training sessions and developing knowledge base articles.

    Ensuring integration with other enterprise systems.

    Pursuing professional development and staying current with trends and updates.

    Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

    Demonstrating initiative in supporting new requests and delivering value-added results.

    Supporting other IT team members and developers.

    Performing other duties as assigned.
