The Mold Operator is responsible for operating injection molding and auxiliary equipment to effectively run, verify quality, assemble, and package polymer insulators on production lines. The Mold Operator will work in a clean, highly automated, and continuous improvement manufacturing environment. The role will also include assembly. The Mold Operator will report to the respective Shift Supervisor and be part of a great culture and team.

Schedule : M-F 11pm-7am

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for reliable, safety-oriented potential who have great teamworking skills (our operations require tremendous teamwork, communication, and cooperation). You may have a background or training in manufacturing, machine operation, or any sort of “hands-on” process-oriented operation (food service, construction, etc). We can Looking to train a highly motivated and reliable candidate, with or without even if they have limited to no experience. Regardless of your current work experience, most importantly, you need to be dependable! Our staff includes operation is a team-driven environment with, and each machine having has a team of operators who communicate effectively with and rely on each other consistently on a daily basis.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Mold Operator is responsible for operating injection molding and auxiliary equipment to effectively run, verify quality, assemble, and package polymer insulators on production lines. The Mold Operator will work in a clean, highly automated, and continuously improving manufacturing environment. The role will also include assembly. The Mold Operator will report to the respective Shift Supervisor and be part of a great culture and team.

  • Operate all machinery such as injection molding machines, automation, and robotics associated with production need in a clean, well lit, and air-conditioned manufacturing plant.
  • Startup, shutdown, load, and unload machines as needed.
  • Perform sub-assemblies.
  • Quality inspect parts through visual and other required testing methods based on standard testing protocols.
  • Make boxes and package products according to standard work procedures.
  • Maintain raw material supply to machines, reset alarms, and conduct basic troubleshooting on material feeding systems.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of automation and production lines.
  • Rotate between work centers on an as needed basis, typically daily.
  • Keep equipment clean and maintain an orderly work center to the facility 5S standards.
  • Complete all employee training as well as participate in LEAN Kaizen events and LEAN manufacturing education / training.
  • Follow all safe work practices, work instructions, and policies.
  • Participate in daily production huddles, production town halls, and other company meetings.
  • Provide suggestions for continuous improvement with company’s Yellow Card Suggestion system.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Hand and assembly skills is required.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English is required.
  • Simple math skills are required.
  • Injection Molding machinery knowledge is preferred.
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to learn.
  • Strives to be part of a continuous improvement manufacturing environment.
  • Use of electric pallet jacks and other lift assisting equipment is preferred, if no experience must be willing to learn and become certified.
  • Comfortable with using different computer and tablet applications.
