Job Description
This role involves supporting testing for NASA rocket engines. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in rocket engine testing, both hardware and software, with a focus on test plans and defining test requirements. Responsibilities
- Support testing for NASA rocket engines.
- Define test requirements and develop test plans.
- Conduct hardware and software testing and validation.
- Perform model analysis and structural analysis using tools like Nastran.
- Update and maintain current software with provided training.
- Engage in mechanical system testing and have exposure to fluid dynamics and propulsion.
- Work cross-functionally throughout hardware and software test cycles.
- Contribute to full life-cycle testing from a small to medium-sized company perspective.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience with rocket engine testing on hardware and software.Experience with test plans, test methods, and test article documentation.Basic knowledge and ability with C and Unix / Linux systems.Model analysis experience.Software and hardware test experience.Experience with hardware design and test equipment.Familiarity with Unix / Linux distributions like Fedora and RedHat.Mechanical system experience and fluid dynamics / propulsion knowledge are preferred.Programming, networking, and development experience.Client-facing and cross-functional collaboration skills.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $62.50 / hr.
