Location : Village on the Park McKinney, an Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community
Pay Rate : $17.00-$19.00 / hr.
Shifts Available : 7 : 00 a.m. - 3 : 00 p.m. | 3 : 00 p.m. - 11 : 00 p.m. | 11 : 00 p.m. - 7 : 00 a.m.
PRN all shifts
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, while encouraging independence and respect.
- Serve meals in the dining room or residents' apartments, assist in meal preparation, and promote proper nutrition and hydration, respecting residents' right to free choice.
- Participate in and initiate leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and form friendships.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, documenting leisure activities, incidents, observations, and changes in residents' conditions.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment by performing general housekeeping duties.
- Follow proper procedures during emergencies and respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
- Keep track of residents' locations, remind them to sign out when leaving, and promptly report if a resident cannot be located.
- Promote teamwork through positive interactions with co-workers.
- Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
- Attend all required in-service training sessions.
- Be an active member of the communitys emergency response team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Current CNA certification.High School diploma or GED required.Current CPR certification.6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.Understanding of HIPAA requirements.Must pass a background check and drug screen.EOE / M / F / D / V
