Job Description
- Receive, investigate, and process automobile liability and property / casualty claims.
- Review policy provisions to determine coverage applicability.
- Gather and analyze supporting documentation, including police reports, medical records, witness statements, and property appraisals.
- Assign and oversee outside adjusters, appraisers, and legal professionals as needed.
- Select defense counsel and coordinate litigation strategies to protect insured interests.
- Negotiate settlements within granted authority and prepare recommendations for claims exceeding settlement limits.
- Authorize settlement payments and direct issuance of claim-related expenses and liability releases.
- Maintain timely communication with leadership regarding case status, strategies, and consumer complaints.
- Establish, monitor, and adjust loss reserves for pending claims.
- Stay current on industry developments, regulatory changes, and legal updates through continued education.
Requirements
5-10 years’ experience.
