POSITION SUMMARY
As the Sanitor , you’ll be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing processing and packaging equipment per established Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs). Responsibilities include the accurate documentation of key sanitation control points in compliance with our sanitation program. Contributor and active participant in our continuous sanitation improvement process.
WHAT YOU'LL DO ( OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Clean lines and processing equipment as directed by established SSOPs
- Perform cleaning in place (CIP) and cleaning out of place (COP) procedures as outlined by SSOPs
- Disassemble equipment and change parts as required
- Clean and store utensils in proper location
- Knowledge of assigned cleaning chemicals and their proper usage
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping to document work completed.
- Respond to all sanitation requirements in a timely, effective, and professional manner.
- Work with the Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Safety when introducing new cleaning chemicals to the facility.
- Perform others duties and responsibilities, as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work occasionally near mechanical parts and in high placesWork in wet environment with hot water, foaming and cleaning agentsWork in production areas that may occasionally be a dusty environmentDuties are performed primarily in a smoke-free manufacturing environmentRequirements
WHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS)
2-year sanitation / cleaning experience preferably in a food manufacturing environmentHigh school diploma or GEDWorking knowledge of manufacturing equipment and cleaning chemicalsAbility to effectively communicate to employees in various positions and at all levelsMust be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demandsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and reach for extended periods.Regularly lift and / or move up to 50 lbs.Push / Pull up to 300 lbs.Ability to operate a pallet jack (manual and / or electric).Benefits
