Design / Controls Engineer (PLC Programming)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design / Controls Engineer with strong experience in PLC programming and HMI / SCADA systems . The ideal candidate will design develop program and implement industrial automation and control systems to support manufacturing process control and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can work from concept to commissioning ensuring systems are reliable safe and optimized for performance. This position offers two days remote per week.

Responsibilities :

• Design develop and implement automation control systems including hardware and software to meet project requirements.
• Program test and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradley Siemens or equivalent) for industrial applications.
• Develop and configure HMI and SCADA interfaces for system monitoring control and reporting.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics control panel layouts and wiring diagrams.
• Perform system integration testing and commissioning both in-house and on-site.
• Collaborate with project managers engineers and clients to define system specifications and deliver solutions on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards electrical codes and best engineering practices.
• Provide technical support training and documentation for installed systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
