General Summary :
The Business Systems Programmer Analyst is responsible for creating effective technical solutions through the design, development, testing, implementation, and improvement of business system applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Applications Support (35%) - Helpdesk support, end-user issue resolution and training, enhancement recommendations, configuration changes, user acceptance testing, documenting programing and systems changes, and updating SOPs
- Systems Analysis (20%) - design specifications and systems documentation
- Project Management (20%) - project planning, managing the project lifecycle, task and change management, action planning; leading cross-functional initiatives for the implementation, use and improvement of processes, procedures and software
- Applications Development (25%) programming, documentation and maintenance of relational databases and other solutions; creates application front-ends and modifies existing applications
Qualifications :
BS Degree in Information Technology or closely related field strongly preferredProven experience in all phases of software development or a mix of software development and application supportExperience with manufacturing related systems / software including ERP, (QAD Preferred); Warehouse Management, EDI, O2C, P2PExperience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Stored Procedures and Transact-SQLExperience with Analysis and Design of software solutions including system integrationsExperience with Progress OpenEdge 4GL programming language strongly preferredRelentless and versatile learner; open to change; analyzes both successes and failures for clues to improvement; experiments and will try anything to find solutions; enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasksExcellent communication and collaboration skills with all levels of the organizationAbility to follow written and / or verbal specifications precisely and be forthcoming with questions if anything is unclearAbility to share knowledge and teach othersPassion for Information Technology and continuous learningBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits,
