Parts, Materials, and Process (PMP) Engineer, Sr
Location : Huntsville, Alabama (Onsite Full-Time)
Basic Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's; 3 years with a Master's; 1 year with a PhD
At least 3 years of recent, in-depth experience with PMAP Rev C
At least 3 years of recent experience in Parts, Materials, and Processes (PM&P) or EEE / EEEE components engineering disciplines.
PM&P or EEE / EEEE experience may include :
Parts and materials selection to meet program objectives and requirements
Piece part analysis and qualification efforts
Engineering design parts and materials planning / implementation
Electrical / Electronic design on product development programs
Design for manufacturability
Qualification efforts for nuclear hardness parts
Production engineering support for critical parts, processes, or materials
Design activities selecting critical parts, materials, or processes
Experience in commercial or automotive electronics design or manufacturing
Ability to read and interpret technical data (Technical Orders, Engineering Drawings, Parts Lists, Bills of Material, Specifications, etc.)
Must be able to support a full-time, on-site, secure work environment in Huntsville, AL
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
Job Description The Work
The selected Parts, Material, and Process (PMP) Engineer will serve as an individual contributor supporting sustainment and development activities across a complex defense system. This role involves assessing parts and materials to ensure capability readiness and mission reliability in partnership with government and industry stakeholders.
The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment with diverse technical challenges, supporting teams that range from early-career engineers to senior specialists.
Due to the nature of the work, this position requires full-time, on-site support within a secure facility in Huntsville, AL.
