IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
OBJECTIVE
The incumbent provides support and technical issue resolution regarding the efficient operation and use of, information systems and resources. The incumbent also draws on their practical experience and in-depth knowledge of various technologies in order to provide services to end-users.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary contact and provides exceptional customer service for all desktop, technical, and application support to end-users
- Provides an independent level of basic, intermediate, and advanced support for user issues with software, hardware, mobile devices, and other technologies
- Tracks, monitors and maintains adherence to IT service level goals
- Assists in the integration of new products and solutions into existing environment (desktop computers, software, or other technologies)
- Maintains currency of deployed software versions and patches in compliance
- Performs activities to mitigate risks identified by the vulnerability management program, as well as internal or external audits and examinations, as assigned by Manager
- Maintains critical IT procedures and documentation, including system monitoring, various inventories and logs, and general IT health documentation within the assigned timeframes
- Establishes and maintains external vendor relationships, coordinates warranty and replacement of equipment
- Engages with Manager regarding project inception to implementation
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree strongly desired; or additional industry experience equivalentMinimum 4 years of industry experienceWorking knowledge, understanding, and interpretation of industry regulationsProfessional certifications A+ and Network+ strongly desiredStrong up-to-date knowledge of data processing concepts, PC and desktop hardwarePractical and current working knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, desktop applications, and computer security best practicesThe ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsThe ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in text, math and diagram formStrong problem solving skills and the ability to independently prioritize tasks, issues, and information is essentialCapability to multitask and work on a variety of projects and teams is essentialThe ability to understand work flow processes, analyze, interpret, and comprehend detailed processes, reports, and proceduresExperience with confidential or proprietary information requiredsupervisory responsibilities
