Summary :
The primary responsibility of the Program Manager is to coordinate all activities pertaining to new product launches while maintaining all the customer deliverables. Furthermore, the Program Manager facilitates engineering changes to existing parts. The Program Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Sales, Engineering and Project Management and interface with all functional departments of the company.
Core Responsibilities :
- Serve as a single point-of-contact with the cross-functional management team for the dissemination of customer requirements as defined in the Wico APQP / PSO process.
- Track product launch status within customer defined deliverables while actively maintaining issue resolution, escalation plan, risk mitigation, timing charts, and communication plan(s).
- Schedule / hold PSO / PPAP activity with the customer, as applicable.
- Assures identification of current and future customer and internal program requirements throughout the organization with respect to content, cost, timing, manufacturing requirements, program contracts (including design and engineering) and program resource allocation.
- Responsible for lead design control activities.
- Initiates PO’s for required design / engineering work.
- Coordinates the closing of project numbers.
- Collect all design inputs, including divisional requirements for product engineering.
- Reports and monitors : Program Tracking Form, Costing Correspondence (i.e., Program Release Pricing, Program Cost Changes, Program Cost Reduction Initiatives), Program Budget Requirements and Program Plan Book.
- Investigates product and process quality issues, conducts root cause analysis and solutions, collects and analyzes data to facility and implement containment and correction actions.
- Monitors and facilitates quality activities for Product Part Approval Process (PPAP). Verifies process control, capability and sustainability and the supplier.
- During prototype, pilot and program launch, reviews customer complaints, analyzes customer returns, reviews plant responses regarding cause and recommended corrective action, maintain direct contact with customers on quality matters including handling and installation and coordinates with sales and engineering.
- Participates in drawing / design approvals with suppliers.
- Participates in Team Feasibility Commitment.
Requirements :
Minimum 8-10+ years automotive industry experienceBachelor’s Degree from accredited UniversityKnowledge of IATF-16949 & ISO-14001.
