Public Trust Systems Engineer
The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for resolving incidents escalating to or originating at the Systems Engineer level. Essential duties and responsibilities include :
- Administration of the Microsoft computing environment to include :
- Microsoft Domain Administration
- Active Directory
- Domain controllers
- Domain Names Services (DNS)
- Troubleshooting minor network connectivity issues such as network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP / IP configuration issues
- Basic messaging system administration (e-mail)
- PC and server hardware familiarity including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues using configuration analysis and subsystem (hard drive, memory, monitors, and power supplies) repair / replacement procedures.
- Responding to trouble tickets from the Service Desk automated trouble ticketing system.
- Performing hardware and software system, including patches, upgrades, service packs, and hotfixes to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability.
Persons in this position will also be responsible for backup and recovery functions.
Education and experience required :
Must maintain a current Microsoft 365 Certified : Enterprise Administrator Expert andMicrosoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate certificationAt least five (5) years of experience working with the Microsoft computing environment.Skills, knowledge, and abilities :
