RPG PROGRAMMER

One of our leading client is looking for RPG Programmer in Greenfield IN onsitely.

Required Qualifications

Experience :

5+ years on IBM i / AS / 400 platforms, with deep expertise in RPG III, CL, DDS, and DB2.

Demonstrated track record managing or coordinating with offshore development teams.

Technical Skills :

Strong RPG III coding skills, plus hands-on experience with modern RPG ILE / Free-Format.

Proficient with Git, Jenkins (or similar CI / CD), and scheduling tools (e.g., Robot Schedule, Automic).

Solid SQL performance-tuning and database design experience.

Project Management :

Experience planning, scoping, and delivering software projects on deadline.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple concurrent workstreams.

Soft Skills :

Exceptional verbal and written communication; comfortable liaising between business stakeholders, local IT, and offshore teams.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Preferred Qualifications

IBM i / AS 400 certification or PMP / CAPM credentials.

Prior experience with iSeries modernization tools (e.g., LANSA, Profound UI) or ERP systems on IBM i (JD Edwards, BPCS).

Familiarity with RESTful API design, web services, and Java / .NET front-end integration.

Exposure to Power Systems hardware and virtualization (POWERVM).
