Sr. Application Developer

All IT application teams have a goal of being completely off BizTalk and OMNI by the end of 2026 as part of the KATs program, to avoid a costly licensing renewal fee for functionality that can be achieved using modern cloud-based technologies at a reduced cost.

We are seeking to add resources to support, enhance, and update various applications related to a website that includes integrations for modeling, enrolling participants, and generating documentation for various offered plans. To meet these needs, the Employee Benefit (EB) website development application team is seeking a Senior Application Developer .

This developer will be a key contributor to the integration, design, development, enhancement, and implementation of various systems within the EB applications. The developer will work as part of an integrated development team, closely collaborating with both business and technical team members.

Responsibilities :

The Senior Full Stack Developer will participate in full life-cycle development, including requirements analysis, system design, development, CI / CD, configuration management, testing, implementation, and support. This process involves close collaboration with internal staff and external contracted resources.

The developer must take ownership of assigned projects, tasks, and issues through completion. They will also :

Develop and maintain architecture and integration documentation

Participate in code reviews and ensure alignment with architecture

Follow defined coding standards and user requirements

Provide outstanding customer service and serve as a trusted advisor

Participate in knowledge-sharing and training with other staff

Additional Agile-based responsibilities include :

Participating in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, planning, and design meetings

Following Agile best practices such as CI, automated unit testing, and automated builds / deployments

Creating and maintaining documentation (JIRA tasks, user stories, architecture diagrams, design artifacts, and wiki entries)

Technology Stack :

Frontend : Angular v1 and 2+

Cloud : AWS services including Lambda, CloudFront, EC2, S3, AmazonMQ, EventBridge

Backend : NodeJS (NextJS and / or NestJS), ASP (C#)

Databases : MongoDB, MS SQL Server

Nice to Have : Knowledge of BizTalk
