Design Specialist

Description

Cyient has an opening for an Outside Plant (OSP) Designer, responsible for OSP Fiber, 5G, HFC, and BAU work orders in the greater Los Angeles area.You will haveprevious OSP engineering and Field data collection experience.You will haveexperience designing multiple OSP telecom projects simultaneously, including Pole / Make Ready, FTTP, HiCap, and BAU projects, and be experienced with client software systems including ICGS / IDDS and PRS.You willalso travel to the field to survey and assess current conditions and meet with the customer regarding ongoing OSP designs.You will report directly tothe Section Manager in the Thousand Oaks, CA office.

You Will :

• Travel to multiple job locations daily to review proposed designs.
• Take field measurements and photos of utility poles, boxes, equipment, cables, proposed equipment cabinets / boxes, and street dimensions to adjust or confirm your proposed design elements.
• Collaboratewith the customer to determine equipment locations, scope of work, and estimated timelines.
• Design OSP copper and fiber designs and submit them for approval.
• Walk and work outdoors daily, in different weather conditions.
