Part Time / Adjunct Biology Teaching Positions.

Savannah Technical College seeks part-time, Adjunct Biology Instructors to teach Anatomy & Physiology I, Anatomy & Physiology II, Microbiology, and Introductory Biology courses. Biology faculty report to Natural Sciences Department Head in the General Studies Division.

The Adjunct Biology Instructor will be responsible for the following duties (the list is not intended to be exhaustive) :

• Instructing students, developing program syllabi, goals and objectives;
• Evaluating students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives;
• Preparing and maintaining all required documentation and administrative reports;
• Maintaining knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by attending staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences;
• Ensuring safety and security requirements are met in the classroom and laboratory;
• Meeting with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss instructional programs and other issues impacting the progress of students.

Duties include a flexible schedule of lecture and laboratory, and may involve split teaching shifts or routine travel between campus locations.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer those candidates who have taught at least one year of Biology, Microbiology, or Physiology and lab at an accredited collegiate / university.
