Instrumentation System Design Engineer

You will develop the design specification bring up validation and deployment of automated instrumentation to calibrate and test Apples products through NPI and mass production.

• Bachelors in Math / CS / Robotics / Mechatronics / Electrical / Computer Engineering
• 3 years professional experience (or equivalent) in design development debug validation and working with electro-mechanical / Robotic systems
• Solid understanding of consumer electronics modules like transducers / sensors (light / force / pressure / touch / motion)
• Basic understanding of hardware concepts and EE fundamentals (i.e. HW architecture Control System Signal processing etc.)
• Programming skills in one or more of the following : C / C / Objective-C Python Lua
• Self-motivated self-reliant and confident in working independently in an exciting factory environment. The following skills are not vital for consideration but will be considered a plus :
• Graduate studies in aforementioned subject areas
• Professional experience in design development debug validation and working with electro-mechanical systems
• Understanding of test principles GRR experience with test automation and optimization
• Experience analyzing and processing large data sets
• Domestic and international travel may be required (up to 10%)
• Experience and strong background in control system and signal processing
• Experience in high volume consumer electronics manufacturing
• Experience with data processing tools - plotting processing and mining data
• Experience or deep understanding of AI / ML modeling
• Strong analytical / problem solving skills and ability to handle many priorities across teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
