Sigma Design has partnered with a leading control systems integration firm in Bend, OR, to hire an experienced Instrumentation And Controls to join their facility in Bend, OR. This company delivers comprehensive, innovative automation solutions through a highly skilled team of professionals, serving clients with distinct, tailored systems that set industry standards. This position is contract to hire role based in Bend, OR with initial project travel to the bay area.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities :
Hardware and software design of process automation control systems projectsDeveloping detailed software design specificationsProgramming PLC and SCADA applicationsConfiguring process-based historian databasesTuning control loopsProviding control system start-up and commissioning servicesTroubleshooting existing control systemsControl systems project managementDesign oversiteSubmittal packagesSystem documentation developmentDirect interfacing with customersMulti-industry control system design including :PLC program development (primarily Allen-Bradley)HMI development (primarily Wonderware System Platform and Ignition)Electrical DesignInstrumentation specificationNetworking configurationCustomer support Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.Education and Experience : (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
Engineering Degree -BS / MS, or equivalent technical trainingThree or more years' experience with systems integration.Excellent interpersonal skills with co-workers and customersAbility to clearly communicate with customers to diagnose control system issuesAbility to adhere and contribute to in-house standardsAbility to use MS Office products with no trainingValid driver's license for customer site visitsITAR - Permanent resident of the United States ("U.S. person" as defined by ITAR)Background - Pass a post-offer background verification.Work Environment
Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers.
