Full Time Contract

Role : Safety Health & Environmental Engineer

Pay Rate : Up to 60 / hr. Commensurate with Exp

Location : Hillsboro, OR ONSITE 4 days / week

Length of Contract : 1 year +

Position Description :

RCM is seeking a Safety Health & Environmental (SHE) Engineer to work with a leading biotech company, focusing on risk mitigation. The site engineer will work with project teams (engineers, users, quality) to mitigate risk through risk mitigation techniques. Expectations are that the engineer will manage, facilitate, support, participate in HazOps studies, and follow-up on required items as defined by the client's SHE defined lifecycle. This position will be supporting an existing HSE Manager. During later project phases, the engineer may be requested to participate in preconstruction / construction activities.

Responsibilities :

• Support the existing HSE Manager in executing project SHE design requirements
• Use the SHE directives and local EHS regulations and when considering design aspects of the project
• Work in collaboration with the SMEs and disciples related to SHE experts (Process safety, industrial hygiene, biosafety, fire safety, sustainability, group insurance, etce) to assess control risk in design
• Review URSs and add applicable SHE requirements
• Executes the PSSR strategy and uses a system to manage Cat 1 / 2 punch items to closure
• Provides regular updates on SHE project deliverables and proactively flags when items are coming due
• Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and support and documentation of corrective actions
• Other Safety duties and responsibilities as assigned
