Accounting Clerk
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team on a short term-term contract basis in Hoover, Alabama. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, performing essential accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with organizational procedures. The position will require working between two office locations and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain and update financial, statistical, and accounting records with accuracy.
- Enter data to prepare financial, regulatory, and special reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Verify and balance teller sheets across multiple locations to ensure proper reconciliation.
- Calculate check totals and prepare deposit slips for daily bank transactions.
- Review employee expense reports and accurately enter them into the general ledger.
- Prepare accounts payable checks and manage timely payment processing.
- Post general ledger entries as needed to support financial operations.
- Balance accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Requirements :
Strong reconciliation skills.Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel functions.Prior experience in performing data entry and accounting-related tasks.Familiarity with general ledger operations and invoice processing.Capable of handling financial documentation with accuracy.Experience in financial services is strongly preferred but not required.
