Position Description
The (ISA) in the at Texas State University is seeking applicants for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Practice position beginning Spring .
We are interested in applicants who have practical experience in business information systems security, cybersecurity, cybersecurity analytics with the potential to contribute to the department’s research agenda by publishing journal articles, collaborating with faculty, supervising students, creating connections with industry and / or state / federal organizations, and bringing applied research opportunities. Practical experience includes experience in industry / non-profit, research centers, or government organizations. The selected applicant should be able to teach and develop graduate and undergraduate courses in business information system security, cybersecurity, cybersecurity analytics with emphasis on applying quantitative methods to solve business information systems security problems. Additional job duties include service at the department, college, university, and professional levels. Faculty will be required to teach courses at both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses.

The ISA Department offers a university-wide undergraduate minor in Data Analytics and offers several degree programs, including the Master of Science in Data Analytics and Information Systems, the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Information Systems, and a newly launched BBA in Business Analytics. Additionally, the department contributes to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programs.
