  • Top Requirements :
  • o 5-7+ years experience in Testing (ETL Automation experience is a MUST) o Selenium or any ETL Automation Tool o Python or Java (or programming language) o Technical leadership The Test Lead plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS components, elements, subsystems and / or systems. The Test Lead synthesizes customer needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves interface problems, defines input / output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and / or system testing activities with other delivery areas, vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met. Develops new and edits existing quality control processes for continuous improvement. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations to verify and validate system performance. Performs integration and regression testing to verify / validate and incorporate fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems. Monitors trends in failures and malfunctions to verify consistency of designs. The Test Lead monitors product and service testing to validate quality before implementation. Follows problem management process to evaluate and resolve problems related to quality. Develops and implements testing methodology to maintain continuous improvement of quality assurance standards. Candidates for this position have expanded beyond practical applications of the discipline to knowledge gained from guiding how Allegis should apply the principles and concepts within the discipline and interpreting the complexities of the discipline. ETL Test Automation : enterprise wide they use Selenium and Ready API as their most frequently used for Automation. Back-office uses UFT. o Programming Language : Python is preferred, another tool would be okay as well - such as Java QA Lead : ability to do POCs with tools available in market and implement automation framework from scratch and guide off-shore testers o Do not need people management leadership skills, technical leadership - designing a solution & problem solving ETL : high expertise on the SQL side; one ETL and one reporting tool is a must o Tableau experience preferred Experience working with CI / CD pipelines : Jenkins, Maven, Bamboo, GitLab - any of them is fine Essential Functions :
  • Performs tests in adherence to organization’s testing methodology and processes.
  • Creates and executes detailed test plans to assess functional, technical and integration performance.
  • Develop testing scripts to automate test cases where possible; performs manual testing where necessary.
  • Identifies, categorizes and reports defects in agreed upon system for accurate results.
  • Reviews and evaluates test results to determine proper repair procedures.
  • Completes testing prior to deadlines and develops status reports for the Project Lead / Manager.
  • Resolves malfunctions as quickly as possible to avoid disruptions in service.
  • Recommends design changes to improve performance standards and ensure quality output.
  • Coordinates / leads cross-functional projects and junior test engineers.
  • Will achieve through work experience a deep, specialized expertise in ETL and Integration testing.
  • Should have a strong understanding of the SDLC process as well as Agile principles.
  • Will work closely with Project Managers, developers, analyst, and at times the OpCo’s. Requisite Abilities and / or Skills :
  • Requires depth of expertise in own discipline to be able to guide others in the application of principles and concepts and to interpret complexities, nuances.
  • Assignments at this level are typically more complex or unusual than those at the previous level.
  • Incumbents assist with establishing protocols and processes for the discipline.
  • Sufficient knowledge to guide the application of best practices within Information Services.
  • Uses industry understanding to drive decision-making beyond best practices.
  • Interprets internal / external business challenge, assesses current / industry practices and selects best practices to improve products, processes or services.
  • May lead Information Services teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and / or complexity
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
  • Anticipates and solves complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify solutions.
  • Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by Information Services policies.
  • Communicates difficult or sensitive concepts and works to build consensus.
  • Should be self-motivated, creative, and proactive, to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and the ability to change direction based on timelines, priorities, and or environment changes. Special Requirements of the job :
  • Experience working with Informatica v9 and higher
  • Strong experience with testing / debugging Data Warehouses
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, ETL and data quality methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools
  • Understanding of data modeling principles is desired
  • Working knowledge of Web Focus application is a plus
  • Working knowledge of CISCO Data Virtualization tool is a plus
