About The Position We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiologist specializing in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This assignment begins on Dec 1, 2025, featuring day shifts Monday through Friday, with a rotating night and weekend call schedule. Candidates must have current ACLS and DEA certifications, be VAD certified, and have completed an AHF fellowship with LVAD experience. Job Details Location : Virginia Start Date : Dec 1, 2025 LOA : 60 days Provider Type Needed : Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist Schedule : Day shifts, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts; night and weekend call on a 1 : 6 rotating basis Responsibilities and Duties Perform non-invasive cardiology duties Interpret and manage EKGs Provide advanced heart failure care, including management of ventricular assist device (VAD) patients Support the ongoing recruitment of a permanent physician Collaborate with a second physician during the assignment Additional Information Board Certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and DEA certification required VAD certification and AHF fellowship with LVAD experience required Must be licensed to practice in Virginia Epic EMR experience preferred Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
