We are looking for a Technical Trainer to join our Operations team in our ATL Office. As a Technical Trainer, you will deliver comprehensive technical training programs for UVeye Field Service Engineers, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. The role includes coordinating logistics for training sessions, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring smooth course delivery. As a Course Content Owner, you will develop and update training materials in collaboration with various teams to keep the content current with product advancements.
A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact :
Training Delivery & Instruction
- Conduct technical training programs for Field Service Engineers across beginner to advanced skill levels to installation and customer support teams.
- Deliver both in-person and virtual training sessions
- Serve as the technical escalation point for advanced troubleshooting scenarios during training
- Facilitate certification programs
- Provide post-training support
Content Development & Management
Create, update, and maintain training materials including slides, manuals, and SOPsCollaborate with R&D, Product, and Operations teams to ensure content reflects latest product advancementsMaintain version control of all training documents and establish workflow processes for updatesManage communication for centralized SOP updatesStandard Operating Procedure (SOP) Development & Maintenance
Create and maintain comprehensive SOPs for all Field Service Engineer procedures and protocolsDevelop core training SOPs including FSE Certification Process, Diagnostic Procedures, Customer Interaction Guidelines, and Safety ProtocolsMaintain system SOPs covering UVeye, Troubleshooting Decision Trees, Maintenance Procedures, and Integration ProtocolsConduct regular SOP reviews on scheduled intervals (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, and annually based on document type)Manage SOP version control and ensure all field personnel have access to current proceduresDocument lessons learned and integrate improvements into existing SOPsGenerate weekly SOP business impact reports communicating updates, changes, and operational improvementsTraining Coordination & Operations
Schedule and coordinate all training sessions using structured roster managementManage training logistics including venue setup, equipment coordination, and materials distributionTrack attendance, performance metrics, and certification status for all traineesMaintain detailed training calendars, rosters, and employee progress recordsCoordinate travel logistics and manage training sites across multiple locationsBeta Testing & New Product Introduction (NPI)
Lead beta testing initiatives for new hardware and software releasesValidate product performance in collaboration with R&D teamsResolve technical issues during product development phasesSupport smooth product launches by developing training materials for new productsDocument lessons learned and integrate feedback into training programsPerformance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Conduct monthly training effectiveness assessments and quarterly skill evaluationsImplement structured "Plan, Execute, Debrief" methodology for all training initiativesGenerate weekly business impact reports on SOP updates and training outcomesMaintain performance metrics including assessment scores, time to competency, and customer satisfactionLead annual program evaluation and ROI analysis3+ years a Technical Training Manager or equivalent role in a multi-disciplinary companyBachelor's degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Science) or a related fieldStrong skills in developing SOP development, technical documentation and training materialsProblem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, organizational skills, and tasks management.Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.An “independent” personnel who can lead projects from inception to completion.Ability to troubleshoot complex technical systems and equipmentAttention to detail.Great interpersonal skills.Strong presentation and communication skills for diverse audiencesStrong multitasking abilities.Time and task management.Willing to travel >30% of the time.
Ability to transport and set up training equipmentComfortable working in industrial / automotive environmentsFlexibility for occasional extended travel for multi-day training sessionsIdeally, we’re looking for :
Experience with hardware system installation.Experience with startup companies.Experience in the Automotive industry.Physical Requirements :
This role may involve on-site or field-based activities. Depending on the position, tasks may include extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking; working in and around vehicle service areas, rental facilities, dealerships, manufacturing sites, or warehouse environments; and performing occasional manual tasks such as lifting or carrying up to 40 lbs , bending, or reaching. UVeye provides salary ranges that comply with the Georgia State Law on salary transparency in job advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, skills, location, education, and operational needs. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses / incentives or other forms of compensation or benefits. The annual base salary range for this position is $85k – $100k.
