American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool Med / Surg Tele position in Massachusetts with night shifts, required MA license, and advanced cardiac skill requirements.

Job Details

  • Work in the Float Pool covering Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units in a hospital setting,
  • 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required,
  • EPIC EMR experience required,
  • Assignment length is 13 weeks,
  • Patient care may involve ventilator management, vasoactive and sedation titration, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-STEMI care,

Job Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required,
  • Minimum of 2-3 years recent and related experience in Med / Surg Tele,
  • Current CPR (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required,
  • Cardiac dysrhythmia recognition and management skills required,
  • Must pass ECG / Tele and medication test on first day of orientation,
  • Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring required,
  • EPIC charting experience required,
  • CCRN certification preferred,
  • COVID vaccine and booster, and Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed),
  • Candidates may not reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility,
  • Previous employees must have a 6-month break before returning,

    • Additional Information

  • Responsible for managing medical-surgical and telemetry patients as assigned within the Float Pool,
  • Must be prepared to float between similar units as required by hospital demand,
  • No time off will be approved during the contract term,
  • Team-oriented work environment with one monthly orientation,
  • Passing job-specific tests (ECG / Tele and Meds) on day one is required for continued employment,
  • Dress code and scrub color in accordance with hospital policy,
