Overview

The Procurement Analyst is responsible for Purchase to Pay (P2P) activities performed within Ariba. You will support the business in securing goods and services via SGWS Procurement solutions, so their purchasing needs are met in a timely, collaborative, accurate and transparent manner. You will drive best practices and provide guidance to end users on how to best utilize Ariba system.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Create Purchase Requisitions at the request of the business and process related Vendor Invoices into SAP Ariba workflow for validation by business units.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail, able to process large number of documents and requests effectively. Including matching and linking appropriate documents to Purchase Requisitions.
  • Create Contracts, BPO’s utilizing SAP Ariba.
  • Invoices in Reconciling Status are corrected and readied for payment.
  • Audit supplier order confirmations against Purchase orders for item, delivery date, quantity, ship to, and pricingEnsure compliance with policies, procedures, and documentary evidence standards.
  • Initiate, answer and respond to emails and voice mail from customers requesting assistance.
  • Validate proper functioning of SGWS procurement technologies. Research discrepancies and coordinate with partners to determine the proper resolution.
  • Willing to explore and suggest ideas to improve existing processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of focus preferably in procurement, finance, or accounting plus 2 years of experience.
  • Must have expertise with business applications (SAP & Ariba).
  • Strong interpersonal, analytic, communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, shifting styles depending upon the audience.
  • Able to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Able to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Must be able to read and interpret information; write correspondence and reports; and present effectively to other employees, suppliers, and customers.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook required with the ability to perform VLOOKUP’s and pivot table summaries.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal, persuasion, motivation, facilitation of strong working relationships.
  • Emotional resilience, able to maintain composure and a constructive attitude if occasionally dealing with time sensitive deadlines or challenging stakeholders.
  • Physical Demands :

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing / keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine.
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
  • May require occasional lifting / lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs.
