General Summary :
Responsible for coordinating the operational functions of the organization, ensuring optimal efficiency and consistency across all branches. This role supports the Director of Retail Banking by overseeing day-to-day operations, driving compliance with established systems and procedures, and fostering continuous improvement. Additionally, the role will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness and service delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Administers operational functions, ensuring compliance to the organization’s policy, legal and government rules and regulations by establishing, monitoring and maintaining policies and procedures.
- Assists the Director of Retail Banking with development and implementation of business plans, operational procedures and system utilization that support the bank’s long-term strategic objectives and vision. Regularly collaborates with other major areas of the bank, including lending, IT, accounting, security and electronic banking on initiatives.
- Leads in the implementation of system changes to support new products, ensures system integrity and recommends program changes to more efficiently and effectively support services offered.
- Resolves operational problems.
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities across all retail branches, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance, while providing direct daily support to each branch.
- Manage the procedure and policy process which includes drafting new procedures and providing procedure updates as needed for the purpose of streamlining operational functions. Partner with Retail Trainer for implementation and training updates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry groups and organization s to stay informed on changes in federal and state banking regulations, ensuring timely implementation of required updates.
- Promotes and enhances the corporate culture and fosters the development and implementation of organizational vision.
- Analyzes various operational audits, develops a plan of action, and formulates a response to the audits.
- Assists the Director of Retail Banking with other responsibilities, such as complaint response, staff production, bank referrals and various others.
- Support the onboarding and training of new branch staff on operational processes and compliance expectations.
- Serve as system administrator for multiple applications, including BPM, Integrated Teller, SCO WebCapture, FIS, TIB Bank Card, FNBB, and NetLink.
- Provide backup support for Navigator and WireXChange systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure seamless operational support for retail banking functions.
- Partner with branch managers to address operational challenges and ensure all staff are following policies and procedures.
- Manage operational risk by identifying, escalating, and mitigating issues proactively.

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration or related degree (In lieu of degree, ten years of progressively more responsible experience within a financial organization including banking operations and management training).Preferred Skills :
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, capable of improving systems, streamlining processes, and enhancing the customer experience.Possess a high level of analytical skills to assess and evaluate the operation of subordinate areas of responsibility, participates in establishing financial goals, analyzes new products, reviews legal opinions, and drafts operational reports to the Board of Directors.A high level of problem–solving skills to coordinate the management of personnel, and to analyze and respond to changes in the regulatory and competitive market.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.Demonstrate excellent judgment, along with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Must possess communications skills with a high degree of poise and tact to represent the bank positively. Ability to interact in a courteous, helpful and professional manner.Ability to handle high pressure, high volume of work, and willing to work amount of time necessary to properly complete assigned duties.Demonstrates flexibility when work assignments or priorities change; a willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure the overall effectiveness of the branch.Ability to organize and prioritize work without direction from supervisor in situations where dramatic changes frequently occur; works with sense of urgency and high level of energy.Must have a professional appearance and manner.Creative thinking is required to enhance the overall operations of the bank in order to provide excellent customer service.Must be trained in Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to travel to all JD Bank locations is expected.Scheduling :
Must be able to consistently work a required schedule as assigned. Work schedule will vary depending upon location, but will consist of an 8-hour shift between the hours of 7 : 30 a.m. – 6 : 30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime may be required. Schedule may require representing the company after hours at related functions, customer calls or training. Regular attendance is required.
