Description
The Staff System Analyst, Software is responsible formaintaining and improving systems and processes that support Allison’s internal software development capability.
This role applies business acumen, Allison process knowledge, software development experience, and project management skills to bring about transformative change to business processes across all product engineering domains.
Responsibilities :
- Analyze Allisonsoftware development processes and tools to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with peers and product owners to develop and document roadmaps forsystems that enable software development
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for software and development tools
- Collaborate with engineering teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders as necessary to define and implement new / improved processes and systems
- Validatesystemchanges to ensure they meet the needs of the organization
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in relevanttools and processes
- Envision, design, implement, deploy, and maintainsystems using a variety of supported languages and tools

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, engineering technology or demonstratedequivalent experience in prior rolesExperience :
Ability to organize tasks, documentation, and project deliverablesExcellent written and verbal communication skills (English)Proficient with MS Office 365 – PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Teams, SharePoint, and VisioExperience working effectively in cross-discipline teamsExperience extracting & documenting stakeholder requirements via live interviews and conversational e-mailsAt least 3 of the following technical experiences :
Designing, implementing, and maintaining a web-based applicationincluding a database in an enterprise environmentDeveloping, packaging, deploying, and maintaining a Windows client application in an enterprise environment using .NET FrameworkImplementing and maintaining a source code control system (e.g. GitHub) for multiple, concurrent developersDesigning, implementing, and testing embedded automotive softwareScope :
Individual contributor with no direct reportsLimited vendor management responsibilityBroad exposure and partnerships with various levels within the organizationTravel Requirement : up to 25%.
