Storied French luxury department store, Printemps, is preparing to open its first ever US location at One Wall Street in the heart of the Financial District.
Located in the historic 50-story landmark, Printemps will have five distinct food and beverage concepts ranging from a casual cafe to a fine dining restaurant. Food and beverage is helmed by Top Chef alumnus and 3-time James Beard
Award Winner, Chef Gregory Gourdet.

JOB SUMMARY
You are responsible for cooperating with the Maitre’D, Floor manager and the Management team to greet incoming and departing guests with a warm, knowledgeable & noticeably appreciative demeanor- a genuine smile and eye contact. You will escort them to their assigned table, present wine / cocktail list and ask for water preferences- always communicating information to the proper parties. The Host must be capable of working in a team-oriented environment to achieve the restaurant’s common goal of guest satisfaction. The Host must be personable with guests and be able to anticipate their needs. The role of the Host is integral to the success of the restaurant.
We believe in a ‘whole house’ mentality and we expect all departments (Pastry, Savory, Dining Room, and Facilities) to support and motivate each other to achieve our goal of guest satisfaction. As a Host, you will interact with all of these departments regularly and should be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with your co-workers & managers.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have 2 years + experience in a fast paced NYC restaurant as a Host
- Must be able to lift & a carry at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be comfortable with repetitive motions (such as walking, bending & standing)
- Must be knowledgeable of Industry critics & awards
- Must have full schedule availability
- Must be able to take constructive criticisms and work well in a team dynamic

Check the bathrooms hourly for cleanliness. Restock toilet paper rolls & paper towels. Alert a Manager if a restroom needs cleaning by a Porter.Stock Host Stand with necessary items such as matches, ipads, business cards, etc.Properly close & lock up all Host Stand itemsPerform coat check duties when necessaryConfirm the dining room is set according to the seating floor planLearn the RESY & TOAST system so you are able to seat guests, make reservations, transfer checks, etc.Reservations confirmationsAssist with managing the flow of guests into the restaurant, providing accurate wait times when necessarySERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES
