Description
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Technical Publications team within Honeywells Commercial Fire business. This role will be responsible for managing the creation maintenance and delivery of high-quality technical documentation that supports our fire safety products and solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with expertise in engineering documentation engineering processes and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and develop a team of technical writers and publication specialists.
Define and implement documentation standards templates and best practices.
Oversee documentation projects from concept to delivery ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
Ensure all technical publications meet industry standards including UL NFPA and other applicable regulations.
Drive automation and digital transformation in documentation processes.
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
7 years in a technical role leading engineering design and engineering documentation with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of technical writing principles and documentation tools (e.g. Adobe FrameMaker XML / DITA).
Knowledge of global regulatory standards for product design (ie. UL)
