Manager, Region Parts
The Manager, Region Parts provides a broad range of operational excellence support to the Parts department to include auditing, training, and reporting. This position will support the development, implementation, and execution of the company's operational excellence initiatives for Parts within the assigned business. Ensures all Briggs Industrial Solutions standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction.
Principal Responsibilities And Duties :
- Partner with the General Manager to develop business plans, strategies, and programs to drive operational excellence and ongoing growth of parts revenue and margin.
- Provide input on parts key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify gaps to create action plans, as needed.
- Monitor parts performance and sales transactions with customers to ensure efficient delivery of parts and supplies through the shipping, receiving, and transferring of items.
- Support the hiring process for identified operational positions by interviewing and providing input on hiring recommendations.
- Provide parts training and direct feedback to team members to ensure they are retaining the required skills for ongoing development, growth, and success.
- Support the design and implementation of policies and procedures that will continually improve the company's operational performance, to include vendor products / systems.
- Manage parts inventory within assigned business by conducting planned cycle counts, reconciling variances, and verifying proper input of data.
- Assist in efficient organization, cleanliness and storage of parts area layout while adhering to proper storage design principles, recycling / disposal, and securement of inventory.
- Oversee the accurate placement of stock orders and timely return of excess / slow inventory.
- Manage parts consignment programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Knowledge & Competencies :
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to identify root cause of problems and implement corrective action.Highly organized; able to maintain accurate and detailed reports.Ability to work with multiple users at all levels of the organization.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Broad exposure to blended learning approaches.Demonstrated ability to develop processes and procedures.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Previous Experience / Education :
High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor's degree preferred.5+ years' experience in parts and / or warehouse operations preferred.Management or supervisory experience preferred.Physical Requirements :
Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.Up to 50% travel required.
